How to Set Your Browser Start Page
When you initially open up your web browser, the very first page that you see is called the “start” or “home” page. You can specify any page on the web as your browser start page.
How To Set Your Browser Start Page in Internet Explorer
- Go to the SDA Church site in your browser.
- At the top of your browser window, you’ll see the Internet Explorer toolbar (look for the words “File”, “Edit”, “View”, etc.). Click on “Tools”, then “Internet Options”.
- On the “General” tab of the pop-up you will see the “Home page” box. Click the “Use current” button and then the “Apply” button at the bottom of the pop-up to specify the SDA Church site as your start page.
- Click the “OK” button at the bottom of pop-up to close the pop-up.
- When you next start Internet Explorer (or click the “Home” icon”), you will be taken to the SDA Church site.
How to Set Your Browser Start Page in Firefox
- Go to the SDA Church site in your browser. Make sure it is the only tab you have open.
- At the top of your browser window, you’ll see the Firefox toolbar (look for the words “File”, “Edit”, “view”, etc.). Click on “Tools”, then “Options”.
- On the “Main” tab of the pop-up you will see the “Startup” box. Click the “Use Current Page” button and then the “OK” button at the bottom of the pop-up to specify the SDA Church site as your start page and close the pop-up.
- When you next start Firefox (or click the “Home” icon”), you will be taken to the SDA Church site.
An Alternative
If you would like to keep your current browser start page, you can still simplify access to the SDA Church site by adding it as a shortcut to your desktop.
